Vision 2020: Ten Years Later
Quick Link to Report Card on Vision 2020
Vision 2020 is a comprehensive report on the climate for women at Johns Hopkins published in 2006. It is really an impressive study that outlined many issues related to the work climate faced by women faculty, staff and students.
It has now been a decade since Vision 2020 was published. What progress has been made?
This was the question posed to the Committee on the Status of Women here at the Krieger School. We decided to create a Report Card as a succinct form of providing feedback. Our scope for this year was limited to evaluating issues related to faculty, and our evaluation metrics fell into four categories:
Progress! | This recommendation from Vision 2020 has been implemented! |
Partially Implemented |
This recommendation from Vision 2020 has been partially implemented! |
Not Yet 🙁 | As far as we know, this recommendation from Vision 2020 has not been implemented. |
??Unclear?? | Action on this recommendation from Vision 2020 is unclear |
We presented this to the deans this morning and provide a copy of this under the Documents tab here.

Mentorship & Leadership
Such nice, important words! What shall we do about them, specifically, in the coming years at JHU?
